Building a beloved brand. Cambridge Audio had decades of manufacturing heritage but no defined brand. The business had built its name on selling well-engineered, affordable hi-fi, with nothing shaping how it looked, sounded or felt beyond the product itself. Working with freelance talent, I helped uncover a brand story from the ground up, rooted not in specs and price, but in the joy of music itself. The direction leaned emotional rather than technical: the energy and colour of London's music scene, the feeling of a track landing right, the people behind the sound as much as the sound itself. "Get Closer" became the proposition, to the artist, the moment, the experience. That emotional thread ran through everything. I directed all photography and owned every touchpoint: brand guidelines, packaging, campaigns, OOH, web, and a music venue space I designed to bring the brand to life physically, not just on screen.
